General Description
:
The isis hotel & spa is a big, white hotel complex surrounding a big swimming pool and set within its own palm-tree gardens, located 15 kilometres from the island's capital. The 289 guestrooms feature moorish architecture with traditionally tiled floors, window arches and arabesque drapes and rug designs, and extend to balconies or patios that overlook the sea or the hotel's swimming pool and gardens. All rooms include satellite television with premium channels, safes and minibars. The hotel's restaurants vary from the rich pastel decor of the gourmet mediterranean l'hippocampe restaurant to the buffet-style neptune restaurant, which serves tunisian and international dishes. The bacchus bar and phenicia bar offer appetisers, cocktails and other drinks that can be enjoyed on the terrace or in their own moorish surroundings. Sidi bou said is a turkish cafe where guests can enjoy traditional mint teas, moorish coffee and hubble-bubble pipes. The hotel houses a lagoon-style outdoor pool, and the cleopatra spa provides guests with a wide selection of 'hammam'-style health treatments, ranging from jetted tubs and essential-oil massages to algae therapy and facial treatments. Conferences and social functions of up to 650 people can be accommodated by the hotel, and audiovisual facilities are available upon request. A number of sports activities are on offer on site and a exclusive team organise entertainments for the kids. The private beach is located 300 metres from the hotel, and a 27-hole golf course is two kilometres away. The djerba explore complex, five kilometres from the hotel, features cafés and restaurants, a heritage museum and a crocodile farm. Djerba-zarzis airport is 20 kilometres from the hotel.
